You’ve probably never been to a dentist whose AKA is Plaque Panther. The character is all in good fun—and meaningful too. Dr. Harris says the name is an homage to the Marvel Comics superhero Black Panther. The movie made him feel more like he belonged with that class of superhero. The same ideals of fighting for what’s right spill over to his practice of fighting for and protecting his patients’ oral health. The vibe of the dental practice is approachable, and energetic spirit to his mission of saving smiles for all ages and stages of life.
Attention to detail affects the level of passionate care at Plaque Panther dentistry. Dr. Harris wanted to study dentistry most of his life.

Dr. DEVON
HARRIS, DDS
AKA Plaque Panther
This Austin native knew he wanted to be a dentist most of his life. He earned his undergrad in biology from the University of Texas, where he was an active member of the Pre-Dental Society. Dr. Harris also worked in the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Vascular Metallomics Lab, where he co-authored two research publications. He began dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2014 and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2018. Dr. Harris was also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry Fellow-track Program and the American Student Dental Association. He founded his practice with the name Plaque Panther as homage to the Marvel Comics character Black Panther, which is an inspirational superhero to him. When not seeing patients at the practice, you’ll find Dr. Harris spending time with his family and pets, cooking, fishing and watching or playing football, a sport he played in high school and college. He also has a passion to pay it forward and mentor pre-health students to explore the field of dentistry.

Kyanna Harris
Office Manager/Hygienist
Kyanna was born and raised in South Texas and graduated from Jourdanton High School, which is located in a small town south of San Antonio. After graduating high school, she continued her education and obtained a liberal arts degree from a community college in San Antonio.
Kyanna then went on to earn her dental hygiene degree from Coastal Bend College in Beeville. Always with a smile and a kind word, Kyanna enjoys working with the Plaque Panther team and helping all her patients receive optimum dental care. During Kyanna‘s free time, she likes to spend time with her friends and family.
Hannah Lopez
Registered Dental Assistant
Embarking on her journey in dental care in 2018, Hannah was driven by a desire to make a difference in patients' lives. Graduating from Austin Dental Assistant School, she has continually expanded her knowledge and skills through advanced training and certifications, ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care. Outside of the dental office, Hannah enjoys arts and crafts, going to arcades, bicycling and spending time with friends and family.

Within our offices, you’ll find an esthetic that’s modern yet homey, with splashes of black, gray, white and gold. We want you to feel comfy and welcome. Our six operatories offer a host of specialized equipment and diagnostics. Conveniently located in a new medical building near the highway, Dr. Harris is thrilled to open his practice in his hometown.
